Summer Love – Victory Brewing Company

Ah, the summer. It's a great time to enjoy beer. So it's best to make sure you are drinking a  refreshing brew that is satisfying and has great flavor. The brewers at Victory Brewing Company have done just that with their seasonal beer, Summer Love. I was on vacation down in Sea Isle City, NJ on the deck when I had this beer, which made it that much more enjoyable.  The head was an average size and was fizzy. It has a medium carbonation and has a clear/sparkling clarity with a nice gold color. The aroma is a slight citrus note.  There isn't any hint of malt aroma at all. The first sip has a floral and a subtle lemon/citrus taste and spiciness that lends a nice crispness to the beer.  Each sip bathes your tongue in a refreshing wash of pale malts and German hops that will make you slow down and savor this beer. The finish is short and will not linger too long. Every sip is a new experience. It is a light bodied ale that has a nice mouthfeel. Summer just got better. Summer Love is an easy six-pack drinking beer.  Or, just do what I did and buy the whole case. That way the summer can last a little bit longer. You will be glad that you did. ABV= 5.2%
