LaGrave – Troegs Independant Brewing

LaGrave - Troegs
Troegs triple golden ale LaGrave is named after a French ski town that has amazing vistas in the Alps. Poured in the glass, LaGrave pours a gold color with a hazy clarity.  The carbonation is very lively and the head is huge, white in color.  And just like the Alps, LaGrave has mountains of its own in the form of the rocky head as you finish pouring it into your glass.   The aromas that I perceive are earthy yeast and white wine hints.  The flavors that come through initially are the earthy yeast with pear notes complimented with black pepper.  On the finish, I get a white wine layer that completes this beer.  LaGrave is a bottle-conditioned brew that has prolific carbonation that adds a creamy mouthfeel and also allows the aromas to disperse when poured. ABV = 8.0%
