The Brewscale Score
APPEARANCE - 8.1
AROMA - 8.8
TASTE - 9.1
10 is perfection, and is almost unattainable. Anything below a 6 is undrinkable.
I enjoy IPA’s. I like the different ways that hops can be used create certain flavor profiles from subtle hop presence to intense.
I picked up a can of Dabble from Sixpoint Brewery when I chose the create-your-own 6 pack option at the local Wegman’s.
Dabble, when poured in the glass has a murky body clarity with an orange color. The head is white in color and fizzy in appearance and dissipated quickly. The aroma of this brew has pine, resin, citrus and tropical fruit notes. The flavor profile is similar to that of the aroma: citrus, pine, resin and pineapple which all lend to an enjoyable hop experience. The mouthfeel is creamy which rounds out those first few sips. The finish of Dabble is nice and long, which allows you to savor this beer after your take a sip. With all of the different hop characteristics going on in this beer, you hardly notice the high ABV of this beer.
Dabble is a fine IPA and one that I will grab a couple of more cans when the opportunity presents itself.
