A 1 pint bottle of Agnus Triple Ale. This will be a glass to remember. My friend Mike loves Belgian beers. He buys them by the bottle and enjoys them. I was at his house and he had a 1 pint bottle of Agnus Triple Ale brewed by Brouwerij Corsendonk in Turnhout, Belgium. He asked me if I wanted to try it. How could I say no? In this glass, this Triple has a nice orange color with a hazy clarity. It has an average head size that is white in color, fizzy in texture and it dissipates slowly. Agnus Triple Ale has a fruity aroma that resembles dark candied fruit. There are also notes of citrus and grain. When I took that first sip, by tongue is immediately hit with the fizzy carbonation and the candied fruit flavor and dried dates. I can also detect the alcohol but not too much. It's present but in the background. There are also spices in the flavor profile along with a nice malt presence that adds some depth and body to this Triple Ale. When I drink a beer like Agnus Triple Ale, you really start to believe that Belgian beers may beer the best style of beer out there. The next time I am at the bottle shop and I am looking for a great beer, Agnus Triple Ale will be one that I will purchase. ABV = 7.5%
