Voodoo Doughnut Mango Astronaut Ale – Rogue Ales

I wanted to try something different and when I saw the bottle of Rogue Ale's Voodoo Doughnut Mango Astronaut Ale, I knew that I had found it. The body color is a nice orange color and a hazy clarity. The head is a white color and foamy in texture.  There is a medium carbonation Voodoo Doughnut Mango has a distinct sweet mango aroma with a tropical pineapple layer.  The mango aroma is prominent and is the main event.  Taking that first sip, I get that mango flavor upfront but the sweetness that was in the aroma is not in the flavor.  This is a welcomed surprise.   There is also a nice malt flavor that holds it all together that keeps it a beer.  The finish is refreshing, dry with a slight tartness. Voodoo  Doughnut Mango Astronaut Ale is a good beer and one that is great to share with friends and get their take on it. ABV = 5.5%
