It’s always nice to sip on and savor a beer that is imported from Germany. And this time, the beer is Franziskaner Weissbier from the brewers Spaten , Franziskaner & Brau.
After pouring it into the glass, the head was white and fizzy and carbonation was soft. This hefeweizen has a clear body clarity with a nice gold color.
Leaning into this glass I pick up aroma of wheat with hints of banana and clove. The taste is a little more complex. I taste caramel from the malts, wheat also and a nice sweetness that sneaks it’s way in. There are also notes of banana and clove that round out this beer all the way from Germany. This hefeweizen has a watery mouthfeel yet is a refreshing beer.
This is a beer that I would definitely have again. If you are in the mood for a refreshing beer that is simple yet complex in flavor, this is the one.
