Franziskaner Weissbier – Spaten , Franziskaner & Brau

Franziskaner Weissbier

It’s time to enjoy a nice German brew. Franziskaner Weissbier. Try saying that three times fast.

It’s always nice to sip on and savor a beer that is imported from Germany.  And this time, the beer is Franziskaner Weissbier from the brewers Spaten , Franziskaner & Brau.

After pouring it into the glass, the head was white and fizzy and carbonation was soft.  This hefeweizen has a clear body clarity with a nice gold color.

Leaning into this glass I pick up aroma of wheat with hints of banana and clove.  The taste is a little more complex.  I taste caramel from the malts, wheat also and a nice sweetness that sneaks it’s way in. IMG_1356There are also notes of banana and clove that round out this beer all the way from Germany.  This hefeweizen has a watery mouthfeel yet is a refreshing beer.

This is a beer that I would definitely have again.  If you are in the mood for a refreshing beer that is simple yet complex in flavor, this is the one.

ABV = 5.0%
