Dragon’s Milk – New Holland Brewing

Beer is a beverage to enjoy.  There are good beers and then there are beers you experience.  Dragon's Milk from New Holland Brewing is an experience. Dragon's Milk has a dark black body color with a foamy, medium-brown head that is quite large. The aroma is sweet-smelling with vanilla and bourbon essence that forewarns you that this is going to be a flavorful beer.  Taking that first sip, there is a sweetness that is right up front, followed quickly by those familiar vanilla and bourbon notes along with a welcomed oaky flavor.  There is also a dark candied fruit flavor and slight chocolate notes that adds another layer of complexity to this brew.  What is wonderful about Dragon's Milk is that that even though the ABV is so high, there is no alcohol heat on the finish.  Wonderfully controlled fermentation. Dragon's Milk has an enjoyably long, flavorful finish and a creamy, silky mouthfeel.    It is a decadent brew that you enjoy every sip.  Dragon's Milk is an experience. ABV = 11%
