Blind Eye PA – Evil Genius Beer Company

Blind Eye PA

It looks good in the glass, but is it one to keep an eye out for?

My neighbor gave me this bottle of Blind Eye PA by Evil Genius Beer Company and I was excited to try it.

When poured into the glass, the beer has a slight hazy clarity with an amber color.  The carbonation is soft and the head was fizzy, average size and white in color.

The aroma has caramel notes from the malt with a nice pine and citrus from the hops.  The taste has a hint of clove and a hoppiness that isn’t too overpowering.  Blind Eye PA has more Belgian characteristics, yet there is that piney taste that lends a welcoming bitterness on the finish.  This is a medium bodied beer that is enjoyable to drink.  I don’t think this is as much of an IPA, but this brew did taste good.

ABV = 7.2%
