Red Fish Ale – Flying Fish

One fish, two fish, Red Fish.......pour me another.

One fish, two fish, Red Fish…….pour me another.

Yet another fine beer from the brewers at Flying Fish. Red Fish ale is an enjoyable beer that has great aroma and an enjoyable taste.

In the glass, the head is quite large, foamy with a nice white color.  The head dissipates slowly throughout the tasting. This ale has a nice medium carbonation and the body color is a nice copper/red.  It looks great in the glass.

I get a citrus/grapefruit aroma along with a sweetness that is inviting.  The hops really take center stage in the aroma category.  The first sip is full of great bitterness from the hops.  I get tastes of pine and grapefruit that are contributed from the hops. It is an ale that has great hop character without being overused. IMG_1150This beer has a complex delivery as it is strong upfront and on the finish, it mellows.  It is crisp and clean.  I really enjoyed this beer. This is a definite purchase in the future.

ABV = 7.0%
