Are you in the mood for a nutty and malty beer?
Sometimes you feel like a nut………..a nut brown ale. This is the first beer that I had from the Chicago based brewer, Goose Island and their Nut Brown Ale is a fine ale.
This beer, when poured into the glass, had a nice average head on it, was fizzy and had a light brown color. It didn’t stay around for awhile and the lacing was fair. The carbonation was medium and the body clarity was dark with a nice brown color.
The aroma of the beer has hints of chocolate, roasted grains and nutty notes. The taste has flavors of chocolate, roasted malts, a nut taste and a slight sweetness. The beer has a great maltiness to it that is enjoyable and makes it a beer that I will have again.
