Jo⋅vi⋅al – Tröegs Brewing Company

I was out at the store looking for a bottle or two to purchase and enjoy.  On the shelf, is an offering by Tröegs Brewing Company named Jo⋅vi⋅al, a Belgian Style Dubbel. As you can see from the picture above, Jo⋅vi⋅al has a nice two-finger thick head that is foamy in texture and light brown in color.  The body color is dark ruby and has a medium carbonation. Uncork a fine Belgian Dubbel. Jo⋅vi⋅al has aromas of fig, raisin and dark fruit and that nice Belgian yeast character.  The smell is wonderful.  When I took a sip, I get a malt sweetness upfront, then caramel from the malt.  There are also fig, pear, plum, raisin and dark fruit flavors, spices and an earthy yeast that round out the beer.  The alcohol is hidden well and won't go down with a burn. Jo⋅vi⋅al is a very good beer and one that I have added to my "single bottle rotation".  It is a great beer to sip on and the flavors and aromas make it an experience. ABV = 7.0%
