A refreshing beer for the summer. Summertime, from Goose Island!
In the summer, a refreshing beer is always top priority when it comes to, well……….drinking beer. So when Summertime is the name of the beer from Goose Island, it’s time to pop the cap and pour the beer!
The head size is small, fizzy and white in appearance. The was a slight head lacing down the sides of the glass – more than I expected from this beer. The carbonation of this brew came at a medium rate. The beer has a nice clarity and a yellow color.
The aroma of this beer has a hint of wheat and lemon. Nothing much after that. The taste had a slight hop bitterness with a slight grain and cereal notes and a sweetness in the background. It finishes with a nice crispness that is refreshing. Goose Island’s Summertime is an easy session beer. It is not the type of beer that I would buy as a case for myself, but it does come in the Goose Island variety pack. That way you get just enough. Overall, it is a very drinkable beer and I enjoyed it.
