10 is perfection, and is almost unattainable. Anything below a 6 is undrinkable.
Free bottles of beer are great to receive. This time, I received a bottle of Blonde Belgian ale from Leffe, and hopefully it’s a good one.
When poured, this beer has a large head that is foamy in texture and white in color and dissipates slowly. The body color is a nice gold color and clear in clarity. The carbonation comes as a soft medium rate.
There is a perceived pear and apple aroma from this brew that is inviting. The taste consists of apple and pear esters with raisin and a slight spice note in the background. There is also a layer of caramel malt that comes through. There is a medium sweetness to it on the finish.
Leffe Blonde ale isn’t one of my favorites, but it is a nice beer. Leffe Blonde is a beer that can be an introduction to Belgian ales for those who are not familiar with this style, as it is on the mild side of the Belgian scale.
