Bikini Beer – Evil Twin Brewing

Bikini Beer
Evil Twin Brewing has a low-alcohol session IPA called Bikini Beer.  It is named after the ground-breaking bathing suit introduced in the 1950's. Of course, not everyone can pull off wearing a bikini.  Can Evil Twin pull off a low-alcohol IPA? In the glass, Bikini Beer is gold in color, a little hazy and soft carbonation.  The head is fizzy, white in color and dissipates slowly into a thin layer on the beer. There is a citrus aroma from the hops - enough to make you aware that there are hops in it.  There is nice citrus hop flavor when you initially taste the beer and a nice grassy note too.  Then, as soon as you taste it, it is gone.  Bikini Beer has a short finish. There is a watery mouthfeel to this brew, but this was done by design.  It is an IPA that is designed to be a session beer, hence the very low ABV.  This is a nice beer to have at a party during the summer. It is an ok-tasting beer, but not one that I would choose to purchase by the case. ABV = 2.7% (that's not a typo)

    • It’s definitely a session ale with that ABV. You could drink it all day.
